Kylie's International Project Highlights September 2017

Hello, happy Wednesday to you and welcome! This is my second time playing along as part of Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights with lovers of Stampin Up from all around the world. This month the theme is Sympathy You can see the gallery on Kylie's blog here and if you feel inclined you can vote for me - the top 10 winners get to take part in a Blog Hop so it is another opportunity for inspiration :-)

It is a really sad time when our friends and family lose someone they love. Being able to let them know that we are thinking of them and have taken time to make them a special card is a privilege to be able to do.

It is always much easier to make a card for any occasion when you have a recipient in mind - even Sympathy cards. Knowing the person and family involved and what they like makes for a personalised card that hopefully will bring some comfort. Sadly, this card will soon be needed- to celebrate a very lovely family friend who amongst other things has sent me many cards over the years. Pink is a family favourite colour and the beautiful Rose Wonder seemed the perfect image to colour.

The image from Rose Wonder was White embossed onto Water color paper and then coloured using an Aqua Painter and Ink Pads. Then it was added over the pretty texture of the Layered Leaves embossing folder. I really wanted to keep this soft and clean but it needed a little bling to the rose centre and I couldn't resist this pretty gem :-)

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you can take a moment to pop on over to Kylie's Blog and check out the fabulous gallery and vote for all of your favourites :-)
